Designed for the smoothest swizzling and stirring, a classic teardrop-tipped bar spoon twists its way from a concave spoon bowl along a 40 centimeter stem to end in a perfectly rounded head. Precisely balanced for effortlessly adept mixology.
Why I like It When I was bartending in college, it was mostly beer and some questionable cocktails that made it over the bar rail. The weighted bar spoon was relegated to the back of a dusty shelf. That all changed when I started working at Les Zygomates* in Boston. This bistro had a great wine list, but the cocktails on the jazz bar side of the restaurant were outstanding and that bar spoon finally got its use and deliciously so. The weight on this one is excellent and the length is manageable enough for an in-glass stir and long enough for pitcher concoctions.
* Les Zygomates closed in 2020, but its founder, Ian Just, has a restaurant just up the street called Society on High
